Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) Policy

1. Introduction

TechFuture Executive Search ("the Company") is committed to safeguarding the privacy of individuals and protecting personal data in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA) of Singapore. This policy outlines our practices regarding the collection, use, disclosure, and protection of personal data.

This policy applies to all employees, contractors, and stakeholders of TechFuture Executive Search, and covers all personal data collected and processed by the Company in relation to its services.

3. Definition of Personal Data

Under the PDPA, personal data refers to data, whether true or not, about an individual who can be identified from that data, or from that data and other information to which the organization has or is likely to have access. This includes, but is not limited to, names, contact details, NRIC numbers, employment history, educational background, and any other information that may be linked to an identifiable individual.

We collect personal data through various means, including but not limited to:

  • Job applications and resumes submitted by candidates.

  • Information provided by clients during consultations.

  • Data gathered from publicly accessible sources or third-party providers.

  • Information obtained through interviews, reference checks, and background verification.

 

5. Purpose of Collection, Use, and Disclosure

TechFuture Executive Search collects, uses, and discloses personal data for the following purposes:

  • Recruitment and Placement: Assessing candidate suitability, conducting interviews, and facilitating placement with potential employers.

  • Client Services: Providing executive search services, understanding client needs, and fulfilling contractual obligations.

  • Compliance: Complying with legal obligations, including background checks and regulatory requirements.

  • Business Operations: Conducting market research, improving our services, and managing our business operations.

We will not use personal data for any purpose other than those listed above unless we have obtained the individual's consent or are required or permitted by law.

By providing personal data to TechFuture Executive Search, individuals consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of their data as outlined in this policy. We will seek explicit consent before collecting, using, or disclosing personal data for new purposes.

Under the PDPA, consent may be deemed to be given if an individual voluntarily provides personal data for a purpose and it is reasonable that they would do so. However, individuals have the right to withdraw their consent as provided in this policy.

We implement appropriate security measures to protect personal data from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, or alteration. These measures include physical, technical, and administrative safeguards.

Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law. Once data is no longer needed, it will be securely deleted, anonymized, or disposed of in compliance with the PDPA.

8. Access and Correction

Under the PDPA, individuals have the right to request access to their personal data held by the Company and to request corrections if the data is inaccurate or incomplete. Requests for access or correction should be submitted in writing to the Data Protection Officer (DPO) using the contact information provided below.

9. Withdrawal of Consent

Individuals may withdraw their consent to the collection, use, or disclosure of their personal data at any time by providing reasonable notice in writing to the DPO. However, withdrawal of consent may affect our ability to provide services or fulfill contractual obligations. Upon withdrawal, we will inform the individual of the likely consequences, and will cease (and cause any of our data intermediaries and agents to cease) collecting, using, or disclosing the personal data, unless it is required or authorized under applicable laws.

This policy is governed by the laws of Singapore, and any disputes arising from this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
